Healthy Fast Food Tips To Help Lose Belly
Fat
As Americans, most of us lead pretty busy lives. Work, family,
traffic… you name it. We’re always on the go. When it comes to
losing belly fat, this can be a problem.
That’s why ‘healthy’ fast food choices can be great for those
days when you simply haven’t had the time to pack or cook a healthy
meal.
Now, at first glance, you’d think that healthy fast food is a
complete oxymoron. But nowadays, most fast food restaurants have
healthy options.
The tough part is knowing what to choose from their menus.
Here are a few tips you can follow, to ensure the fast food
you’re eating is healthy, and won’t derail your belly fat loss
efforts:
>>Avoid anything and everything fried. So forget about
those crispy chicken sandwiches, French fries, apple pies, etc.
It’s just not good for your body and the oil most of these things
are fried in is destructive to your health.
>>Go with a salad option. Most places nowadays have a few
salad options. If you go this route, make sure to get one with some
lean protein on it, like grilled chicken.

>>Skip the dressing, or dip it. When choosing a salad,
whether it’s at a restaurant or a fast food joint, skip the
dressing. Most of the dressings offered are high in calories and
saturated fats. If you absolutely must have some dressing, have it
on the side. Then, dip your lettuce or what have you into a little
bit of dressing for some flavor. Doing this will spare you a couple
hundred calories. Also, a great alternative if available is olive
oil and some good ol’ red wine vinegar.
>>Skip the cheese. It adds a lot of calories and
unnecessary fat.
>>Pick grilled chicken instead of a burger. If you do go
with some sort of grilled chicken option, skip any ‘special’ sauce
it may come with.
>>Avoid anything that’s creamy, breaded, Alfredo, au
gratin, or batter-dipped. Any of these options spells disaster for
your waistline.
>>Pass the salt. Don’t go adding extra salt to your food.
Chances are, it’s already loaded with the stuff.
>>Make substitutions. Get veggies instead of mashed
potatoes, French fries or any other unhealthy side dish. Also, if
you’re at a restaurant, don’t be afraid to modify how something is
cooked. Good options are always grilled, broiled, baked, or
poached.
>>Skip the soda. Soda contains empty calories that go
straight to your stomach, hips, thighs, etc. But even worse, it
contains high fructose corn syrup. This stuff is bad news for your
health. Instead drink water or unsweetened tea. If you need your
tea to be sweet, use Stevia. It’s an all-natural sweetener.
One other great thing you can do is check out the websites of
various fast food chains. Take a look at their nutritional info.
This will give you a clear look at what’s really healthy fast food
and what isn’t.
Of course, the best thing to do is plan your meals in advance.
That way you’ll never be caught off guard. But everyone does get
busy once in a while. And if that’s you, make sure to pick healthy
fast food next time you swing through the drive through.
It’ll keep you on track to getting a flat stomach.
To a healthier, happier you!
