Weight Gaining Diet Foods That Work
Most people who want to gain weight are known as hard gainers.
These are the typical ectomorph body types that have really fast metabolisms.
You can always spot them a mile away. Usually slender and skinny, and hardly weigh anything even when soaking wet.
If that’s you, then pay special attention. Because you’re about to discover 3 weight gaining diet foods that work to put on the pounds.
Let’s get down to business, shall we?
The first weight gaining diet food you should know about are eggs. Yes, eggs. They are an excellent source of protein. In fact, they are
probably the most perfect animal source of protein on earth!
Why?
Because they contain the whole spectrum of amino acids, healthy fats, AND precious vitamins that are critical to day-to-day bodily
functions.

When you eat eggs, make sure you choose those that come from free-range hens. Also, make sure to eat the yolk, as that’s where most of the
nutrition is stored.
Not only are eggs a great weight gaining diet food, but they’re also incredibly cheap! You can get like almost 3 dozen for around five to six
bucks at most grocery stores or discount warehouses.
The second weight gaining diet food I wanted to tell you about are avocados. You don’t hear about them much in the bodybuilding community but
they are a great source of calories AND healthy fat (omega 3s).
It’s preferred that you choose Haas avocados as they contain more healthy fats than the larger variety found commonly in Florida and other
parts of the U.S.
They go great on salads, and even sandwiches.
I personally eat them by themselves with a sprinkle of sea salt.
Mmmmm!
Finally, the third weight gaining diet food that’s good for you is grass-fed beef. Red meat gets a real bad rap (just like egg yolks) but it’s
not totally true.
See, if you eat commercial beef (the kind normally found at your grocery store), then chances are the cattle was fed a grain diet. This not
only changes the flavor of the beef, but it also changes the omega 6 to omega 3 fat ratio. It actually makes the ratio one that’s NOT good for
your health.
But grass-fed beef on the other hand, retains its natural fat ratios and is rich in heart healthy omega 3 and CLA.
This, combined with the high protein content makes it a perfect weight gaining diet food.
As with any weight gaining diet, make sure you’re eating enough calories. Preferably 500 extra calories per day. This ensures that you’ll gain
at least an extra pound per week, which is a safe and healthy rate of weight gain.
That combined with the 3 weight gaining diet foods I just told you about, and you’ll be on the path to getting big in no time flat.
